Oona Cahill first joined Van Der Hout LLP as the firm’s litigation fellow in 2024. She is now an associate attorney with the firm handling removal defense matters, appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and circuit courts, and impact litigation in federal district court. Before joining Van Der Hout, she clerked for Judge David O. Carter in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She graduated from Stanford Law School in 2023, where she participated in the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic and interned at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Immigration Unit and the ACLU of Northern California Immigrants’ Rights team.
