The Department of State (DOS) posted the September 2024 Visa Bulletin which, in addition to final action dates and dates for filing, contains notes regarding the FY2025 diversity visa results, visa availability for EB-3 and Other Workers, and employment-based (EB) preference category limits for FY2024.  EB-3 has retrogressed significantly.  It is possible that EB-3 and other employment-based categories could go unavailable in September before the new fiscal year starts in October.  USCIS determined that for all employment-based preference categories, the Final Action Dates chart should be used.  For all family-sponsored preference categories, the Dates for Filing chart (or the final action) can be used.  For more information, see: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-september-2024.html
