
Navjot (Nav) is an attorney licensed to practice law in both the United States and Canada. Prior to joining Van Der Hout LLP, Nav was an Associate at an immigration law firm. There, she represented immigrants in removal proceedings in San Francisco and Los Angeles immigration courts, with a focus on asylum applications. She also represented immigrants in front of USCIS.
At Van Der Hout LLP, Nav specializes in cases involving complex legal or factual histories and novel legal claims. Her practice focuses on complex immigration cases involving criminal convictions, contested removal proceedings, waivers of inadmissibility, family-based applications, including adjustment of status and consular processing, naturalization, humanitarian forms of relief, including asylum, VAWA, and U Visa, as well as other applications. In addition to immigration, Nav also has experience in criminal court, having represented criminal defendants in county and circuit court in Florida.
